Andre Barrett Founder of Trade Hero Pro

Hey there, I'm Andre and I've been developing apps since 2006 when I first started my career in software engineering. I've worked on digital products used by millions of customers when working for BSkyB and Kindred Group. I decided to start my own digital agency in 2013 called iMobilize Ltd focusing on helping entrepreneurs bring their digital products to market and I've been doing that ever since.

My life as a trader

It's been a lot harder than people were making out.

  • 2008-2009

    Opened my first share trading account

    Buying shares or parts of shares through a web platform was the easiest way to get access to get access to trading the financial markets as a retail trader at the time.

  • March 2009

    My financial market education begins

    Deciding to try and take trading seriously I enrolled on the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program to increase my knowledge of the financial markets. The goal was to complete the 3 year program and end up working for a financial institution.

    Trading Algorithms

    Being a bit of a geek I thought that automating my trading would be a sensible idea. After all, machines outperform humans when it comes to analysing data and deciding what to do right?

    The Quant approach

    I had read somewhere that the quants were making all the money on Wall Street so I enrolled in Paul Wilmott's Certificate In Quantitative Finance (CQF) course. How hard can all that math really be?

  • 2013 - Present

    A digital agency is born

    Running a business gives you a lot of insight into how companies work, what makes them profitable and how best to trade them. At the same time I continue to study the art form reading in excess of 50 books on the subject.

    Technical Analysis

    Could my trading really improve by following some patterns on a chart. I enrolled in the London Academy of Trading to find out.

  • April 2017 - Present

    Mentoring from former institutional traders

    It finally hit home that the best traders in the world worked for financial institutions and hedge funds. I was lucky enough to find some of these guys and be mentored by them.

  • August 2018 - Present

    The birth of a super hero

    Putting together everything I had learnt about the financial markets, I began to build a platform that would save me time picking the best stocks to trade. My trading hero also known as Trade Hero Pro.
